There’s only one of me, so to be able to help more students, including those who cannot afford traditional private tuition, I have developed two small group courses covering the core content common to most exam boards. Both courses also include a focus on effective revision strategies and exam technique – based on my experiences as a principal examiner.

Passionate Physics Educator & Mentor
With over two decades of teaching and examining experience, Justin Palfreyman is dedicated to helping students unlock their full potential in physics. Through private and group tuition, tailored resources, and innovative approaches, he helps students not only improve their grades but also develop a genuine appreciation for the subject. His approachable style and innovative methods make complex topics accessible, inspiring learners at both GCSE and A‑level.
In 2025 I relocated to the North-West, and expected lots of local schools to be looking for a Physics teacher, but to my surprise, very few were advertising. Thankfully I’ve had several other projects to keep me busy… juggling examining duties, with course creation, taking on additional tutees and building this website. Unless my dream job comes up, it’s likely I’ll be fully investing in developing and refining my tuition offering.
Speaking of side-projects, The “Preparing for the PAT” (Physics Aptitude Test) course is being replaced in 2026 as the PAT is being replaced with the ESAT. While I’m re-writing the new “Preparing for Oxford Physics” course, you can freely access some of the old course materials here:
